You may have noticed that I’ve not written anything here for over a month. Well the reason is that I’ve been moving house from Canterbury to Bournemouth. Today I have finally got my ADSL connection sorted so I’m back online!
I’ve actually been in Bournemouth for a couple of weeks now. I have a nice fifth-floor flat just a three minute walk from the coast and 15 minutes walk from Bournemouth town centre. I’m still settling in and finding my way round, but I already prefer it to Canterbury!
Perhaps the only slight downside is having to wake up at 6am every morning in order to get to work. I have to commute every day on the train and bus to get to Southampton University which takes about an hour and a quarter. Work continues to be busy - I was frantically trying to get everything working for a new development release of our software on Thursday. Unfortunately, every time I fix one bug, I keep finding at least one more, so the list just seems to stay the same length!
